Can't afford therapy, trying CBT on my own?

I live in the US and I have ****ty health insurance that doesn't cover therapy until I pay a high deductible. I'll try to get better insurance next year.
In the meantime I was thinking of trying CBT on my own. Does anyone have experience trying it? What resources did you use?

The book Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy is a self help CBT therapy. Also theres a social anxiety audio program that's popular here:

[Everyone disliked that.]

My Mood: Worried
Give it a go. Ask Yourself What do you have to lose?
