Yoga as a Path to Freedom
I truly believe that no matter what obstacles we are faced with in life, the first step to overcoming them is through Acceptance. Until then, the mind never settles, and our resistance pushes us further and further from freedom.
SA has brought much pain and suffering, but it was in that suffering that I was pushed to seek deeper truths and a more lasting source of happiness.
The paths are many, and no two journeys are the same. The important thing is to be aware that the steps you are taking are leading you back Home to the Self which is beyond conditioning, concepts, labels, ideas and our mind-made stories.
I have sought answers through therapy, self-help books, and even through my own personal studies as a psychology student. Each of those resources had value, but it wasn’t until I went on a soul seeking trip and discovered Yoga, that I found the level of healing and peace that I have found now…We are our own healers and meditation and spiritual wisdom has taught me that.
SA can leave you feeling extremely helpless, lost, alone and at times immobilized; I want to extend my heart and say “I see you” and “You aren’t alone.” From this journey I have learned that we all carry the answers within; we just need the right tools to clear out some space to see that.
My intention for this post is to bring purpose from my journey by sharing any light I have received through my experiences. With that being said, if anyone is looking for a safe space to connect, or to learn more about the yoga practices I do daily, or to learn about yoga in general (Yoga postures like what you do in the yoga studio is but a small part ), you can contact me through email, phone, or we can meet and practice yoga together if you happen to live in my area.
Sending Peace, Love and Light to all who may happen to read this post.
