Well, at least it would be quick : /

It could also be a time machine & 1965 is calling, I will now answer phone booths more.

Hmm. Maybe the best thing IS to just ignore it. If you did stop and answer it maybe you'd end up in some sort of situation you'd rather not be in.

And I've seen that film phone booth years ago. All you guys answers have kinda made me feel.paranoid about answering a ringing phone booth. Lol

But still, WHO calls a phone booth? It could only be a wrong number. Or even those automated robot phone line test things.

Yeah. You could go in the phone booth and bump into Clark Kent partially naked as he's changing into his superman costume.to go rescue another damsel in distress

That's a lesson from movies: be careful entering a phone booth. You may encounter a partially naked man changing clothes.

I used to answer them often, back when they were actually a common place thing. If I could help out the person calling, I would do so, usually the person they were looking for wasn't around or they had simply dialed the wrong number. Phones don't really bother me, being confined in areas with others where I am not able to simply leave is what usually gets to me, either that or being the center of attention.

I always felt bad for the person on the other end, just waiting for someone to answer. Sometimes the phone would ring, stop ringing, then start again, by then I would pick it up for sure since I knew they were really trying to get a hold of someone. Who knows the reason, as far as I knew it could be an emergency so I felt compelled to help out if I could.

Here in 2020, I think it would be pretty cool to answer a pay phone. I don't see them very often, although a few weeks ago my wife did and sent me a picture of it.

It might turn out like Miracle Mile, someone from a missile silo calling to tell you that WWIII is happening.

In my younger and (even) lamer days, I did that a couple times - called the pay phone near my school at a late hour to find out if anybody would answer. Someone did.

Also, half the time when our home phone rings the caller ID shows no data or some 800 number or out of area. I don't know when those morons will give up and stop harassing people. It's unbelievable.

I'd most likely leave it - I probably wouldn't want to get involved. Then again who calls normal phones nowadays anyway.

Sure, I'd pick up the phone, an omnipotent AI called "The Machine" would be on the other end of the line to ready to give me someone's social security number that I would have to save(Person of Interest)

So it doesn't sound like if you encountered naked SuperMan in a phone booth you'd be dissapointed? lol

And I assume he'll be hung like a horse anyway if everything about him is supposed to be Super. So I suppose that's another plus point should you bump into naked SuperMan. Lol

It's weird how Clark Kent is more attractive than superman who is very boring. But I did once briefly have a crush on Rorschach - a character specifically designed to show what superheroes would be like if they existed in real life - terrible people who don't shower etc so I'm not known for good taste. So that was a thing that happened, but I tend to get over such interests quickly and then no longer get it anymore with limited exceptions. And I don't agree with his political opinions so that wouldn't have worked either. I probably just liked that he was sexually repressed (traumatised actually,) and an underdog because those are consistent themes.

haha </3 I totally get why he'd feel that way.

Speaking of phonebooths and superheroes though.

Deadpool <3 (it's funny too because there's a buddy cop YouTube series with them both in.)

I still haven't seen Deadpool 2, I watched the first one and thought it was pretty funny. I know people dislike these films though but whatever. It's better than most of the other Marvel films.

Interesting perspective, I used to watch superman alot when I was younger & never thought that some people might find Clark Kent more attractive than superman.

idk I think superman is more like a job. like reporter. it's difficult to be attracted to? inaccessible. an abstraction.

plus as Zizeck says, imperfection is necessary for love. otherwise it's just self-interest and so on and so on.

Superman is one of my least favourite superheroes in general as a character even because he seems a bit 2D and unrealistic. Someone did post an interesting comic strip with him on this forum one time where he was talking down someone contemplating suicide or something, but generally yeah he just never appealed to me. I kind of like glasses, and he's sort of dorky but I'm also just going off memory here from a long time ago.

Sometimes, imperfection is perfect. But when it is, it is no longer called "imperfection"

"Perfection" obviously. Which makes it all very confusing.
