I have had knee problems on and off including torn cartilidge, dislocated knee caps, severe strains and micro tears in ligaments and tendons.
Yoga has helped me over time.
I use blue emu cream from Walmart (in the isle with ben gay and other topicals very bottom shelf) I swear by it.
It has glucosamine, MSM, in emu oil. I use it before every walk or skate I do and really helps, and I think it even helps improves the general function of the knee overtime.
The downside is it is like almost $14 a jar, but it is well worth it. Don't cheap out though and get the less expensive ones.
The one I get doesn't stain your knee blue it doesn't have a smell, and it doesn't burn or feel weird and it absorbs well. No one knows you have it on your knee. You just spred it on the area giving you trouble and rub it in and you are good to go.
My dad also has knee problems and has been taking a pill form of chondrotin and glucosamine and reports improved results as well.
I would say rest it as much as possible, but I think you are on your feet alot at work.
