Going back to smoking cigarettes :/

I've been going through depression this year. My job and my broken relationships with people is what's causing my depression. Also the fact that I believe I won't have a future thanks to my anxiety. My coworkers don't like me, there have been people in the past who didn't care about the way they've treated me yet I was the one who apologized..I don't know why. I wait for them, but obviously they've moved on from me and don't care about me. I've been dreaming of having a companion yet women can't stand me. It's been a year since I smoked cigarettes and I've come this far. I've been smoking since I was 16. I'm going through depression. I can't drink alcohol because I'm currently taking medication. Not like cigarettes are any better. I promised myself that I would never smoke again after my grandmother died from lung cancer last year, but right now I feel like s.h.i.t.

Don't do it! Try exercising if you need a stress reliever. Sorry about the rough patch you're going through.

Dude, I'm so sorry to hear this, but remember, its never too late to turn things around.

I found this good video the other day, and it helped me out a lot with my depression.

I used rollies on and off now don't smoke them. I enjoyed them when I smoked them. Eventually they would catch up and make me feel heavy and lethargic though. I think just enjoy it and then gradually wean back off them. I used to like to alkalanize my body and then smoke, real nice rush. I strongly reccomend high quality, organic/most chemical free tobacco you can find though i.e Auld Kendal, American Spirit. Just Give yourself times when you can and can't smoke.

If you want advice (which is why I'm guessing you made this thread) then don't do it, man. I quit almost a year ago 5/15/15, and it was soooo hard to do. It was the second time I've quit and I never want to go through that again. I even used Nicorette gum and it was still really tough going. My outlet now is running, working out....esp if I get depressed or feel boxed in or anxious or pissed off....sometimes the best thing I can do to help me feel better is to run it off. Try to find another coping mechanism.

Have you tried nicotine gum? I've been addicted to the gum for awhile now and would rather have it over cigarettes because the nicotine buzz is way better.

Still thinking of one.

I don't know, you made a promise, would you feel bad for breaking it ? That's my only objection, if you want to smoke do it, you will die anyway like everybody.

- I now issue the call, are you ready to fight
Fight all together as one for the right to be free once again
Tonight we will win

I can see by the look that you have in your eyes
You came here for metal, to fight and to die
Defenders of Steel now we are home

Fight for the kingdom bound for glory
Armed with a heart of steel
I swear by the Brothers who stand before me
To no man shall I kneel
Their blood is upon my steel

It's a hell of a lot better than smoking cigarettes (and not to mention cheaper). I got down to two pieces a day, then one weekend I realized I hadn't chewed any of the gum at all and just quit it. I think I was on it for about two weeks.

It will relieve your stress in the short term. But it will not do anything for your depression and might even put you in more scenarios that will worsen your depression in the long run.

Enjoy any good things, even the little and menial ones, as you will never know what impending distresses could descend upon you in a moment.

It gives off a different nicotine buzz compared to cigarettes. I've been on it so long that the nicotine buzz that cigarettes give me doesn't compare to what the gum gives me. Lately I've been stuck with the Walgreens brand as the Nicorette was getting a bit expensive because I was going through pieces like crazy. Now I've toned it down to just 4 pieces a day. I think it took a while for me to get use to the gum though when I was transitioning I was still use to the nicotine buzz from smoking but quickly fell in love with Nicorette and also other brands from Walgreens and Costco. Just be careful though as the gum is suppose to help you taper off from the cigarettes and your suppose to use the gum to help someone transition from smoking to using the gum for several weeks then your suppose to stop after that period but I never got to that part so you could be like me and not stop the addiction of nicotine but the way I see it, the gum is way safer than smoking the cigarette which contains so many other deadly chemicals.

I've stopped smoking last year for one year and a friend invited me for christmas with his family, was drunk, i've smoked some joint and cigarettes.
The next days i was smoking again...
I really need to do it again, but **** it's hard and anxiety doesn't help.
