I know right.

When you log in to SAS and go check the mega-threads it's all- "My life sucks." "I hate my family." "I'm lonely." "I'll never get a girlfriend." "No one cares." "Not sure if I can take another day of this." "Work sucks." "So bored." "SAS is dying." "I want to die."

Never-ending litany of misery and gloom.

I think it's possible to be a mess with social anxiety and wake up excited. In high school life sucked every time I left the house, but I had alot of interests that made life worth fighting for.

I can't wait to shut off my alarm altogether and keep sleeping until sunset and dinnertime without consequences.

Enjoy any good things, even the little and menial ones, as you will never know what impending distresses could descend upon you in a moment.

Not recently cause I'm feeling depressed, but I've def had the 'I can't wait to conquer the day!!' feeling a lot in the past.

On enhanced mobile I don't receive notifications besides pms. Apologies if I don't respond.

Know your ACE (adverse childhood experiences) score?
Sometimes, SA is a symptom of significant developmental, attachment or interpersonal trauma (emotional neglect counts). If you're still stuck after you've tried SA treatments such as CBT and exposure, research C-PTSD and see if it resonates. Here's an awesome resource. Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving

My Mood: Brooding
I have things to look forward to on occasion that still excite me - traveling, seeing good friends, doing a fun activity, going for a walk in good weather, finding a great long story to read or series to watch. Those days where I can feel this way are what I live for. It's all irregular though. I currently wake up feeling unsure, and kind of scared frankly. Not scared of unemployment, bills, homelessness, or failing in my career. But just the idea of not knowing what comes next and if that next is going to be worth it.

My Mood: Worried
Since I was really little I wake up anxiety-ridden because I'm certain there is something about the coming day to be panic-stricken over. It's a really bad lump in the throat, rapid heartbeat, hot, sweaty feeling that doesn't subside until I get up. So I guess the answer is no. But later in the day I can develop feelings of looking forward to some things.

...you gotta keep the goal in mind, develop tunnel vision to a certain extent. it's hard, and it's not for everyone.

This happens rarely and only on days I get to stay in and work on some home project.

What makes you think you are not depressed? Apathy/ambivalence can be a key component of depression.

Personally, I look forward to complaining and whining and annoying the f#*k out of people. Just kidding of course... my sarcastic sense of humor is one thing that helps me get through the day.

I'm very sorry to hear that. To reply to your question, I currently have this cough that's not going away! but I do have interests to keep me occupied so far.

Nope! Even on days where I have something to do I don’t feel that way. Apathy rules right now. Do have a concert I will be attending in a few weeks...love the band and the city I will be seeing them in...but I am just nowhere near excited as I should be.
