Being ignored

Anyone experience that?

I volunteered last weekend at a local run. A guy from my running club volunteered too and he completely ignored me!

Ouch, that sucks. I had this happen to me too when I used to volunteer at a hospital. I tried making conversation with her, and she just didn't reply. Didn't even look in my direction.

It honestly made me feel a little worthless, like "What did I do wrong?" "Did I say something wrong?" "Am I not worth her time?"

sigh

My brother just walked by me and didn't even look at me. He does it a lot. Like I should be ashamed to be in his way.

Yes, all the time. Too bad we're not actually invisible, so we could at least do some fun stuff.

I ignore ppl a lot. I like it when they ignore me generally, except for when it's someone I'm close with.

I think people avoid rather than ignore me...

I dont get it in person much but most of my "friends" ignore my texts and messages. Seems to be a common theme amongst all my friends...makes you feel like ****.

They do ignore, sometime doing a back turn to freeze me out.

someone being rude to you at your running club? sorry to say, it sounds normal.

i was a member of a outdoor fitness club for several years and had some pretty terrible experiences with other members. ive quit now but imo most members to the one i went to were quite snobby and cliquey. in my experience, fitness/running clubs are good places to get over some social anxieties as your meeting and talking to lots of random people but as soon as they stop being fun, quit.

It's normal...people don't usually always notice others...who knows the other person could be equally shy and hesitating to initiate conversation. Personally I like to just hide in the background, do my stuff and leave without having to socialize.

I would say I have the problem that people ignore me when I don't want to be ignored but they're all over me when I want to be left alone. :lol
