I'm not American but just want to say I'm glad I don't have to make that decision.

Anyone but Trump.

This will be my very first time voting. I was never motivated enough before, but now I am.

If I don't reply to you, it's NOTHING PERSONAL. It's my ANXIETY.

lol good point - and many if not most of us Americans will not be making that decision either. I certainly will not be voting. And not out of apathy, but as a choice. To send a message. If these two corrupt clowns are what we actually have to choose from then I vote to just leave the oval office vacant for 4 years. It would be preferable to having either one of them occupy it.

I don't like Biden at all but will be voting for him. Can't believe Trump still has supporters after four years of his ****. I understood it back when he was a political unknown, but now there is no excuse to not remove this criminal.

It's not going to be vacant though. Do you really want Trump to continue to appoint lifetime federal judges, strip all environmental protections, and do everything he can to alienate us from our former allies around the world? The list could go on all day, there is clearly a lesser evil here.

Biden....reluctantly.

TBH, I think things have probably already gone too far off the rails for anything to ever be normal again. After 8 years of insanity (including 9/11) after Dubya was elected and then 8 more years of toned down insanity with Obama and now 4 years of complete chaos with Trump, we have had 20 years of dumpster fire that probably just cannot ever be fixed.

But still....sadly, Biden is probably the only hope. I don't even want to think about 4 more years of this crap.

I'm not in the US but I think the Simpsons may have predicted this.

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

I'm still expecting more surprises to happen; more curve balls. Republicans will not give up. Maybe they'll find another guy to run if Trump isn't their man; or the mail-in votes will be outlawed and polling stations may become extra limited and only available to a particular class of people; or they could just do away with elections altogether as a result of the crisis.

The point is that more stuff will happen.

A little over half of the people vote/d in the elections for at least half of the century. If people considered or acknowledged third party options then we wouldn't have to deal with the 'two main parties' and feel like our hands are tied from it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voter_...tial_elections

At least 15 - 20% could go towards Green Party or Libertarian. Just about enough to have the candidates considered on stage and on the primary ballots. But there are other factors involved, such as how many of the total percentage of the overall population 'can' vote (ex; illegal immigrants, felons, etc.)

Just the somewhat optimism that I know will not happen. At least not anytime soon.

Trump.

Edit from CNikki:

For the sake of not stirring anything up between users, please leave it at who you would vote for. Other responses to the initial writing will also be taken down.

I'm confused, other people have posts in this thread other than just the candidate name.

I don't disagree with really any of this. Trump will also become more and more desperate to find a distraction. As for the possibility of postponing the election due to any crisis they want to use to justify, Trump's term still ends at noon Jan. 20, 2021. Based on what I've read into this matter, if there is no election before then, the US will have President Pence.

To answer the thread's question, while I do not have a vote in this election, I see pretty much all elections as voting between the lesser of the evil. I just hope that those who see Biden as an evil can also see that the gap between these two evils is the biggest such gap ever, at least in our lifetime. Democrat voters who didn't vote for Clinton in 2016 handed Trump the win. I would like to think they won't do it again, but it wouldn't surprise me if they do. What could happen on the other hand, is Republican voters who are finished with Trump, might not vote either, which would be like voting for Biden in some places.

Just to make things clear - posts will be edited or deleted if there is bashing others about their beliefs and votes for any candidates. We have seen too many instances of this happening when political threads had been made, and with some that would not relate to the discussion (or debate) at all that adds fuel to the fire for anything controversial. If there has been consistency of this happening then there is no 'adult discussion' about that. If you do not like it then take it up with us through PM.
