Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened.

The unemployment rate will actually increase this year, but the media won't admit that it will be due to more people looking for work. If enough jobs are created to match the increasing demand, it may stay down. Either way, it is a huge sign of long overdue growth - suppressed by Obamacare and the regulations that were just lifted.

Hopefully kids realize a 4 year college isn't the answer and you can make a far better life for yourself with trade jobs and "lesser" education fields. Way less debt and at least 30 bucks an hour. How can you say no to that.

What are you on about?
The size of the work force and the number of people in work grew the same as overall population under Obama.
Regardless, it's not a success if people have to work 2-3 jobs just to make ends meet. Better to have jobs that pay people enough money to live on, pay rent and afford health insurance than to have more, than to produce many meagre jobs.

And turning a fulltime job into 2 part time jobs is exactly what raising the minimum wage does for a lot of people. Also mandatory health care for full time employees

Medicare. Only 5% Dems and 15% Republicans would decrease funding. You can also find bipartisan polls that show Medicare is among the most popular pieces of legislation in the US.

That doesn't show if it's good or bad for the economy and it doesn't show if it's actually effective for the general health of America those are what I care about not if politicans and average joes vote for it

Many places manage to have good minimum wages while having low unemployment.
It can be done, so no reason not to. No reason to have working poor without health insurance.

But if you make a policy that actually does the opposite and makes 1. Health care worse and 2. Makes employees force people into part time to avoid paying the high cost of insuring them than your doing the opposite of your intension

Your logic is flawed.

Someone on minimum wage working fulltime May have their hours cut back if Minimum wages are raised. It really depends on demand elasticity and/or margins that can absorb the increase.

In the short term, whenever you change one variable, there are adjustments to they system. But minimum wage has lagged behind inflation since the 1970s, it does need to be trued up.

In the longer term, high minimum wage is better for jobs. People on the bottom end spend their salary. Rich people save their money.

Don't tie health insurance to employment then.
America isn't an exceptional country. The solutions and systems that work elsewhere will work in the US as well.

You're arguing minimum wage should be suppressed to compensate for a broken unaffordable healthcare system.

Why not fix healthcare.

How many people making minimum wage get affordable healthcare benefits?
