"U.S. Women's Team defends itself after Humiliating Thailand"

Not exactly politics, but it feels very PC to me. The fact that this is a controversy, irks me. So what's the "proper" response, then? Should the U.S. team have just played sloppy, not going for any goals so Thailand didn't look bad? Is that how sports are to be played now, to keep from offending the other team? This whole thing is ridiculous. I'd be more embarrassed to be the losing team if articles were being posted like that, insinuating the winning team should've mucked up their game for my sake. No thanks.
Perhaps my commentary is coloured in how I was a big hockey and soccer player and fan and also a Canadian as has been mentioned. There was always a narrative of don't showboat, don't rub it in, act like you've been there before. The issue wasn't with them running up the score. It was celebrating 9-0, 10-0 goals like they had just won the championship. That is both laughable and disrespectful when you are the best team in the world playing a team that is only in the tournament due to it being expanded therefore letting some really weak teams in. Especially in a sport as clear cut as women's soccer. It didn't matter that they put up a 13 spot on Thailand, it was how they treated it, and how arrogantly they acted afterwards, acting like cellying like a 12 year old after scoring the tenth goal on a team that never had a chance is what should be expected. There is a thing called sportsmanship in most games, and I feel like it is important and should be respected. It had nothing to do with retarded notions of winning by a nice palatable score, or everybody tearing down the womens team's play because they are such.

The narrative of it being a international outcry against the US trying to do their due diligence and win by a score they need is nothing but a fraudulent lie. And the captain of the team, for christ's sake, was leading the charge, playing '98 Zidane after the 9-0 goal. Of course she won't apologize, she is a big fan and advocate of this behaviour, having a history of showboating against inferior opponents. Not that she should, or any of them. They just created a big distraction and probably some cosmic karma and should focus on the tournament ahead of anything else.

Polling from the last 2 years don't reflect that, his strongest supporters are non-white (and non-male).

Him not doing well with black people or females is a narrative manufactured by the Clinton campaign in 2015, emails leaked thru wikileaks revealed this, hence "BernieBros".

He's been dropping in the polls in the last 3 months, so apparently they're doing a 'less is more' approach with Biden, similar to Hillary last time.

'Pentagon sending 1,000 U.S. troops to Middle East after oil tanker attack'

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...ck/1483739001/

The 'Iran threat' narrative has been ridiculous every step of the way the last 2 years, completely manufactured, making up dozens of lies that all eventually get debunked, now we're going to send a thousand more troops in, and we're doing it to make sure 'something' happens to get things going.

We have nothing but examples of us doing this same kind of thing for decades, not only that but this administration has brought in people who have already done this s*** in the past.

Here's how casually these people are about starting wars.

I wonder: would this be an example of complete absence of critical thought, or just plain brainwashing? I could see real old conservatives wanting WW2 all over again, but I would think later generations--especially generation X and later--would have none of it. Unless they were brainwashed.

I know two big factors at least are the corporate MSM here and the fact that people are too busy with other things. There's pretty much no anti-war voices in the mainstream or at least no one can be a voice of dissent and keep a job. The whole 'manufacturing consent' thing. I can't really blame the general public though, a lot of people are struggling so they can't pay attention plus everyone here knows the political process is bullsh** so it's easy to tune the news out.

Politically people will believe what they want, ignore all information that goes against the narrative they've sided with, and they don't even realize they're doing it in most cases.

"have I not reason to hate and to despise myself? Indeed I do; and chiefly for not having hated and despised the world enough."
~William Hazlitt

"There have been times when only a hair's-breadth has intervened betwixt myself and the seething devil-ridden world of madness; for the hideous knowledge, the horror- blackened memories which I have carried so long, were never meant to be borne by the human intellect."
~Clark Ashton Smith

Too many in our American congress have forgotten all about the Constitution of the United States of America. It begins with: We the People of the United States. Not we the few, we the rich, we the corporations...

As long as our congress is actively working against Americans, "We the People" will never become a reality here in America.

Even if our scars don’t match there’s no wrong you can’t make better if you can figure out a way to change your mind.

And sure there’s things I regret not doing or doing. Those thoughts climb my spine like spiders, and then I’m really the stranger in my own bed,

and that ball of nervous gets pushed into every crack. That’s what’s holding the bricks together.

A $59B peace plan for the Palestinians over the next 10 years. I'd say I'm impressed with the amount of money we're putting into the project but I'm sure the money will be going through the hands of plenty of grifters along the way leading to some extremely underwhelming results.

Greg Gutfeld on Fox News talking about war with Iran, how it would basically be like a videogame since it's drones attacking drones.

That's the most ignorant s*** I've heard in a long time, and what those people on Fox say actually matters since Trump basically ignores the intel officers and everyone else around him and gets his intel from Fox, the least reliable source of news.
