When I don't have school or work, I will sleep as late as 1:30pm at times. Once I'm asleep, I honestly hate waking up.

Woke up before 7:00 yesterday and the day before, which is good, but woke up too late today. Around 10:00. I've been busier the last week than usual; it's exhausting but satisfying.

What time did I wake up? Too late the past several months and miss when I would wake up early and eat a leisurely breakfast and get to work early or on time. I am in a bit of depression or something or fall asleep after dinner watching a show and then am unable to go back to sleep. It's a travesty and sleep needs to be much easier than this. Naturally I tend to be a night owl and like to go to bed at 11 or 11:30 and would love to wake up at 8 or 8:30.

This morning, I woke up about 10 mins before 9:00 AM.

I thought about going back to sleep, but, due to the pressures of my job, I had not done my daily running in 2 days, so I decided that was my first priority.

I ran my usual route, around the horse show, 2 laps.

I do not want to get out of this good habit of running thatI have had for so long.

For breakfast, in addition to my usual one bananna, and one yogurt, I also cut and ate 1/2 of a grapefruit that I had bought 2 days ago,and had sitting in the refrigerator, and had not eaten before this morning due to my hectic work schedule, which I will be resumnin in the next two hours, and might not get off work until around 11 PM tonight.

Have not taken any more antihistimine pills for a few nights.

It's the weekend, so I "slept in" until 4:00 AM. Normally, I have to be up by 3:00 AM for work.

It's great that you're in the habit of running--I'm thinking that I'll start going for a run twice a week or so. I like it and feel good when I do it.

I'm glad you're sleeping OK even without the pills.

This week, I got up before 7:00 3 out of 5 days, which is a big improvement for me, but last night I slept from 4:00 AM to 3:00 PM, which is terrible.

Tonight it's already 2:00 AM, but I've already taken my meds and I'm hoping to be asleep by 3:00 and awake at about 12:00.

I have trouble falling asleep, as well as trouble waking up on time. As a result, my schedule moves later and later each night, until it eventually settles at 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. I'm attempting to sleep at more regular times, and have been going to sleep closer to 2:00 or 3:00 AM lately, but it's still later than I'd like. My goal is to go to bed at 10:00-12:00, and wake up at 6:00-8:00. I hope to do this fairly consistently.

I take Melatonin (for sleep) and Quetiapine (for anxiety) in the evening. I usually get sleepy around 2 hours after taking them. If I do not take both of them, I can't fall asleep until very late, and sometimes, I can't fall asleep until the following evening.

I plan to use this thread to record my progress with going to sleep on time, taking medications on time, and the way depression and anxiety affect my sleep, but I named the thread after the aspect of my sleep that I'm most dedicated to changing: waking up in the morning. I'm tired of sleeping my life away. I'm ready to become different. I hope this thread can help some of you improve your sleep as well.

Special thanks to helpless for inspiring me to start this thread.

It's after 7:00 AM and I'm still awake. Things can only go up from here, right?
i didn't

9am, 10am, gave up sleeping at noon. I think I fell asleep at 2am.

My greatest point is my persistence.
