Severe BDD? Medication to manage the thoughts?

Thoughts of just how ugly and how you think she/he would stare at ur acne filled face during a conversation, staring at yourself in the mirror for hours and then getting depressed, fear of coming out in lighted enviroments or in the afternoon.. What Medications do u use to manage these thoughts and all this anxiety? I need a reply please, I'm fvck!ng desperate about getting these thoughts out and all this anxiety over with.. Its cripplin my life

I don't have that kind of issue but meds seems to be the way to go. That and psychoterapy. .

This is a really good program made by the BBC about people with BDD - it shows a few different people that struggle with it and how a couple of them overcame it to a certain extent. Therapy seems to be able to really help with this - plus a gradual exposure.
