Histrionic is when someone has exaggerated moods to gain attention. (Think of a drama queen.)
Schizotypal is when people are unaffected by other's emotions and are unable to emotionally connect to people. I think it also includes difficulty in reading people. (I think this is correct but I'm not sure.) However, I scored very high in schizoid but I'm great at reading people and my second dominant cognitive process is extraverted feeling (if anyone is familiar with mbti). I think introverts end up in this category in these kinds of online tests.
Does anyone know the difference between schizoid and schizotypal?
Hmmm, strange, I don't happen to fit into either of those categories, regardless of what my results say. I can read people very well, I get very affected by others' emotions and I connect to them (other people) wonderfully. As for my "supposedly" being histrionic (ie: a drama queen), wow, nothing could be further from the truth. I never exaggerate my moods to gain attention, I hate
attention, and so-much-so that I do everything I possibly can to avoid it. Oh well, online questionnaires, what you can expect?
Thanks so much for filling me on what those things mean, though, I really do appreciate your taking the time to do so. As for the difference between schizoid and schizotypal, sorry, that too I have no idea about but would love to know.
ETA: Oops, almost forgot; I made my husband fill out the questionnaire too, (just for fun) and, of all things, he scored "LOW" on each and every answer. No moderate, no high, no very high...nothing but low, low, low. Sheesh, must be nice!
