Hard to loose addictions
I am having a hard time loosing some of my weird addictions... my addictions are really stupid if you think f them being for a 30+ year old adult.... as a young adult (in my 20s) I had them fairly in control and only used to fall back on them when I was nervous or stressed. Now that my situation has worsend and I have been stressed and palpitating 24 hrs a day 7 days a week for the last 2-2.5 years almost. The addictions are back and worse, I find them really hard to shake them off. and they are embarrasing as hell .... In someways I guess I have wired myself to think that they are making me relaxed a bit...Does anyone else feel the same...Are there anyone who have had success loosing such addictions.

I was addicted to drugs in my early 20's, if it didn't mess me up I don't know if I would have stopped. I think by now tho I would have, I'm more mature now and wouldn't want to spend my life getting high.

Take it one day at a time but have a plan. Avoid the triggers. I've overcome porn, bad OCD, self harming, smoking, etc.

I've been off heroin and other opiates since 2012 after almost a decade of addiction. Get yourself a new routine, stay busy, and take things one day at a time. It gets easier as time goes by.

well my addicitons are not as hardcore as you guys but they are more likke ticks that are very very humiliating and embarrasing many times I don't think I have control over them like in sleep etc....
Scared, Depressed, anxious and kind off traumatized person
