Does anyone else suffer from insomnia?

I've had it since I was about 19. The only time I can sleep well is if I'm blotto and if I gotta get up early for something I never sleep....

I've tired pills, exercise, diet and nothing completely solves it, ever.

Hm insomnia hit me as i started recovering from SA. I think it was because i was like "i need to do stuff, hit on girls" etc. It stayed for almost a year (sometimes worse, sometimes not so apparent) and only went away competely after i got into a relationship.

Insomnia reasons are always psycological and i dont think it should be solved via pills or even exercise/diet etc. (although thats always a good thing to do)

Yes, I've been this way as far back as I can remember. It use to be fun when I enjoyed life and felt okay. Now it sucks.

My Mood: Tired
Yes, managing to get some sleep somehow is my biggest concern most of the time. I feel so much better on the rare occasion I manage to sleep well.

I don't have much trouble falling asleep but I wake up in the middle of the night and fall back asleep only after an hour or two.

Well, it's funny you ask. Rarely have insomnia but last night I did. I woke up this morning with incredibly high anxiety, tightness in my head and chest, and I feel like dying. Legit I just want to take some sleeping pills and disappear.

YES, until I started taking antihistamine (Equate Allergy Relief). Nothing can make me fall asleep but that thing. I love it. It takes about 1-2 hour for it to kick in.

Yes for me. Especially now considering my moods are cycling like no other and mania is hitting in waves. I can thank my bipolar condition for that.

Yes, I do. I've had it my whole life. I have to take melatonin at night time in order to sleep along with my medication that was prescribed for my bipolar disorder. It really, really sucks. My mind won't stop racing and I keep thinking something bad will happen the next day that keeps me up. Not getting any sleep is the worst.

What exactly is insomnia? Is it when you just can't sleep at night, or is there more to it? I find myself staying up all night and going to sleep around noon or so. Do I have it?

Have you ever seen the guy that hides from gay people at Walmart?

Nope. Insomnia is a full on condition where your body can't sleep for an extended period of time. So staying up and going to bed at noon is not insomnia. Insomnia is prolonged nights after nights not being able to sleep. I've had it big time since I quit smoking so many drugs.
