Depression and ECT

Anyone with chronic depression tried doing ECT treatment? I cannot go on be so depressed anymore. I figure its time to try ECT. Anyone else tried it?

Have you, or can you, trial an MAOI first?

ive got too many other meds that will prolly interact with an MAOI. Ive asked for Nardil before but never got it, but then again I guess i could ask another doctor of mine for it.

Damn, Keith, I didn't think you were serious when you mentioned it. I'd never be able to go through with it. And I can't help but wonder how all those meds you're on might interfere with the anesthesia, or how your diaphyseal aclasis may respond to a seizure.

I would hope that some sort of physical exam is required before ECT being as physical abnormality could lead to complications. Also, Keith's GP would/should know all of the risks of ECT with Keith being on all the meds that he is.

I haven't tried ECT, but I probably should. I'm freakin' looney tunes and depressed

Rx:
Wellbutrin SR 300mg, Eskalith CR 900mg, Luvox 100mg

Things I have tried:
Lexapro, Zoloft, Celexa, Prozac, Paxil, Effexor XR, Remeron, Wellbutrin SR, Eskalith CR, Topamax, Valium, Xanax, Ativan, Ambien, Restoril, Desyrel, Ritalin, Adderall, Dexedrine, Inderal, Lopressor, Thorazine, Lamictal, Abilify, Depakote, Geodon, Seroquel, doxepin, chloral hydrate
