During pandemic lockdown have you found any new hobbies or things that you really enjoy?

During pandemic lockdown have you found any new hobbies or things that you really enjoy doing? Or old hobbies or passions that you now have time to start again?

I am assuming most people on this site don't have a huge group of friends to hang out with or cant hang out with them now with this virus situation. So what do you do in your free time that gives you joy? Looking for some tips for myself

Well, not really... I'm working from home, so I don't have much more free time than usual. I've been reading some law regulations and am preparing to file a lawsuit against my apartment building manager. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while, and now I have the time to pour over lots of boring legal documents, lol

Reading Buddhist stuff and meditating again to try and get some peace. Also attempting to learn programming for the 1000th time. Sucks being an idiot.

I started listening to true crime podcasts a lot more. I already was before the lockdown began, so it's just increased... think I've listened to 150+ hours of true crime stories now.

Hmm not really just spending more time on the normal stuff I do. Walked with my mom a few times

Stay-at-home (what's currently going on in my state) is about the same for me as non-pandemic life, just no weekend restaurant visit with my mother. And a lot more worrying and crying myself to sleep. I've been "self-isolating" since around 1995. I don't understand people who go stir-crazy after a couple of weeks.

My attitude may change when warmer weather comes, since I used to like walking, going to a bookstore, and visiting a nearby tourist spot...don't know how that'll play out in the future.

I mostly try to work on my websites and practice digital drawing like I've been doing already. Since my OCD has greatly hampered my ability to read and write (my favorite hobbies) for several years now. -_-

If I don't reply to you, it's NOTHING PERSONAL. It's my ANXIETY.

I work in an industrial environment and BC has dubbed us essential because of the work we do. While we haven't got an official announcement from corporate I was reading through the list of essential services and the company I work for ticks a lot of them albeit not so much in the health industry but economically. Having said that the group of companies the company I work for is doing it's due diligence and keeping us, as workers, informed!

I finally decide to start geocaching a week ago. Since we can still walk around outside.

Ive done geocahing a couple times. Adds a different element then simply going for a walk or hike. Good activity to do in the world we are currently living in

I've started listening to Henry David Thoreau's "Walden" on an audiobook. Kinda fitting for these times.

Disinfecting the doorknob when I get back from buying groceries. Other than that I'm basically going mad with boredom.

I got away from gaming for a while started playing GTA online again.

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death
Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow,
A poor player that strut's and fret's his hour upon the stage and is heard no more,
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

My Mood: Tired
I've been trying to teach myself to cook and tried to continue doing some at home work outs. Even though my classes have moved online now, they still feel pretty time-consuming so I feel like I'm still just neglecting them all though. I want to especially continue studying Japanese and teaching myself to draw, but I end up feeling too exhausted from everything else.

Reading online about the coronavirus, world news, local news, etc. obsessively. Mainly various sub-reddits, NY Times, BBC, Wikipedia. Keeping track of the numbers.

Been drinking a lot more but that's not a new hobby just become more frequent.

I still have to work full-time except now it's done at home. The past month it has been difficult to focus on work. So distracted with this whole thing and reading about it. My sister's ongoing money crisis doesn't help either.

This too along with the refrigerator door handle, light switches, and my keys. I can't be bothered to sanitize all my purchased items though. Blah....that's just taking it too far.

Hmm. Not really any new hobbies. But I've been able to focus on existing hobbies. Learning Japanese, programming, reading etc.

I would do that more if I don't have to worry about conserving toilet paper, tissue or napkins.
