Cool

Denver legalizes magic mushrooms

The wise citizens of Denver have decriminalized magic mushrooms. Perhaps this will lead to more psychedelics being legalized in other cities.

They say psychedelics can help with depression. I would give them a shot.

I think until all diseases are cured that natural substances shouldn't be outlawed. For all we know these magic mushrooms could be the cure for cancer. We know cannabis prevents and cures certain kinds of cancer, but researchers are prevented from testing it for political reasons.

Oh but I came to find out that it's
all hate and money
And there's a canopy of greed holding me down.

Good, mushrooms are probably the one thing that could literally change the world if everyone did them.

I dunno. Never did any of this. Probably won't and wouldn't. More power to you if you think it helps you, I guess.

You know psilocybin might be able to repair and reconnect the neurons that have been damaged by all the pharma poison you take.

Your comments might start to become more comprehensible.

Now we just need them to legalize portabella mushrooms. Or I guess we need everyone else to ban portabella mushrooms.

Then leave it for the pharmacists!

My comments are more comprehensible than you think. It opens another pandora's box. I thought the next step was going to be legalized cocaine. I guess there was an intermediate step in the drug slide rule. My mistake!

Somebody will find something like a hidden fat content - then they will be banned.

"In a surprising turnaround, Denver has decided to criminalize regular mushrooms. When asked to provide a rationale, a spokesperson for the state government replied: 'Just to keep things interesting.'"

Yes! It's supposed to be regulated and abusers are held accountable.

Shrooms are pretty tame compared to most drugs and other psychedelics. Not sure I ever noticed the antidepressant effect though. Mostly things got really wavy and rather weird and quite hilarious. Then again, I don't think these fellows are dropping an eighth of an ounce at a time. Probably pretty safe in moderate consumption.

What about when a pharmaceutical company lies about about the effects of said drug in the name of making more cash? I see you're gullible enough to think pharmaceutical companies are looking out for people. They are, just for their shareholders.

Why I bother arguing with bots I don't know. Excerpt from above article:

Quote:
It all started with a misleading marketing campaign in the 1990s that downplayed the dangers of opioid painkillers and exaggerated their benefits. When stronger opioids were being pushed, they were pitched as being less addictive than what was available before. Since they were being pushed to prescribing doctors, hospitals, and clinics this way, of course they became popular to be prescribed. After all, finding a more potent effect with lesser dangers is the ultimate goal of any medication. While their push of their painkiller has been essentially been summed up as false advertising, it presents a greater issue. The companies should have been fully aware of what the drugs were capable of from their clinical trials. Selling the drugs as anything other than what they are is blatant misrepresentation and endangering the lives of the people using it.
