Bombing in Beirut, Lebanon ?

Do you think the bomb that exploded in Beirut Lebanon was an accident like they are claiming it to be?

It was a building with alot of explosive chemicals inside.

Or do you think some people or specific country may have caused this on purpose? as unfortunately the middle east is known to be an easy target for things like this and wars in the past couple of decades.

Im kind of torn between the idea I havent done enough research into, curious to see what others think...?

I was studying it over the weekend & from what I gathered there was fireworks stored in the same warehouse as the ammonium nitrate or the one beside it, some workmen were repairing/welding a section of the warehouse that set part of it on fire & it spread to the fireworks & then the ammonium nitrate.

The chemical was stored in poor conditions for 6 years causing it to degrade & apparently its more unstable like that.

Now there's an argument the fire could have been started deliberately maybe.

Oh waw..

If it was started deliberately the people that started it would be dead unless they did it from a distance!
It sounds very staged fire works next to nitrate welding at the same time. But now that iv looked up the story about the nitrate being abandoned there from a ship and them just storing it there and leaving it there because it was abandoned, seems like maybe is was some type of accident. :\

I thought the same thing when I saw the video, absolutely horrible. I haven't really looked into the facts about it enough to have an opinion though, it was my assumption it was an accident but who knows. That region of the world is so volatile.

Apparently certain people/organizations had been warning the authorities for a number of years about the possibility of this happening but no measures were taken, whether the initial ignition was done on purpose or not at the very least someone should go down for that kind of negligence if that actually is the case.

It was that shockwave that freaked me out and then the cameraphones right there in the midst of it.

The Lebanese Government basically resigned. They are really a mess now.

I seems like it was an accident. But all we really know is that there was gross negligence by some authority that did not get rid of the chemical.

It could be possible that someone knew the chemical was there and just took advantage of the situation by making the fire look like an accident. I don't know if it's even possible to investigate the fire that lit up the chemical, since everything might have been blown away.

I'd say the real cause will reveal itself when they prosecute the culprit(s). If some joe-blow becomes a quick scapegoat then you know someone at the top was responsible. If they prosecute some real higher-ups, then more likely it was an accident...at least that's my gut feeling.

If the government pretty much ditches its population, chances are they want to escape any repercussions for possible connections to the incident. Of course that's at its worst and being considered as a 'conspiracy' nut. Then again, I'm only a sheltered American whose abandonment is in the guise of being under a 'two party' system.

Very interesting, the photos definitely show it to be stored recklessly. Its the butterfly effect of that nitrate being abandoned there 6 years earlier. Im just glad it was near the ocean which in turn decreased how many innocent people had to die and be disfigured that day. :\

Apparently it's upwards of half a million people homeless because of this, that's likely to be the biggest issue, there's already loads of refugees making the treacherous journey towards mainland Europe & beyond as it is.
