Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be them!

"Difficult times are meant for us to become better, not bitter"-uknown

""I am only one, but I am still one. I cannot do everything, but I can still do something; And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do." - Edward Everett Hale

"Celebrate any progress. Don't wait to get perfect." - Ann McGee Cooper

Too many to post. I like Ralph Marston quotes, too, they are very inspirational.

Alice came to a fork in the road. "Which road do I take?" Alice asked. "Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat. "I don't know," answered Alice. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Sometime the "majority" means that all the fools are on the same side.

People to weak to follow there own dreams will always find a way to try to discourage yours.

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead.

Don't judge me based upon your ignorance.

Why is there enough religion to insite war, but not enough religion to instill tolerance.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me =)

You don't know me,
And you don't even care,...
You don't know me,
And you don't wear my chains, ...
I think I'll go to Boston.
I think I'll start a new life.
I think I'll start it over, where no one knows my name.
I think I need a sunrise, I'm tired of sunset,

Hansen: You scared?
Nash: [sarcastically] Terrified. Mortified. Petrified. Stupefied... by you.
Nash: Perhaps it is good to have a beautiful mind, but an even greater gift is to discover a beautiful heart.
There's no such thing as "for sure". That's the only sure thing I do know.
I need to believe, that something extraordinary is possible

Funny. I seem to remember a man who lived about two thousand years ago who had a touch of the heroic about him. A lot of people looked up to him. A lot of people didn’t. So tell me, Jonah… if a man of that calibre of heroism showed up today, would you be listening and learning from him? Or would you be first in line to crucify him?” – Norman Osborn to J. Jonah Jameson

"If it moves tax it. It it keeps moving regulate it. And if it stops moving subsidize it." Ronald Regan

I'm not a fan of Regan, but he did accurately describe the economic views of the left.

This isn't really a quote. It comes from a George Carlin interview.

PLAYBOY: Earlier, you referred to the U.S. Constitution as "inspiring." Do you endorse all of it - even the right to bear arms?

CARLIN: I have mixed feelings about that. I plan to get a gun if crime gets any worse. I believe my first duty is to survive. And I'm not just talking about criminals coming into my home. I once seriously considered getting a gun to protect myself from the police. If I need a weapon to continue living, I'll get one. And I'll use it.

PLAYBOY: But if violence in our society --

CARLIN: Look, I'm going to interrupt you: There are two ways to think about this existence we have. One of them is that it's Wednesday and it's three fifteen and we're talking here in my home, and at four o'clock I have to leave for another meeting. Now, that's a reality. But there's another reality. We're in the solar system of a second-rate star, three quarters of the way out on a spiral arm of an average galaxy in a thing called the Local Group. And ours is only one of billions of galaxies, each of which has billions of stars. Some star systems are binary, and there could be a planet that revolves around a center of gravity between two binary stars. So you'd have two sunrises and two sunsets every day. One could be a red giant, the other a white dwarf; two different-sized, -shaped, and -colored suns in the sky. And there might be other planets and comets. In other words, **** Wednesday, **** three fifteen, **** four o'clock, **** the United States, **** the earth. It's all temporal bull****. I like thinking about being out there and not thinking about the corporate structure, not worrying about freedom, and not worrying about guns. I chose a life of ideas. That entertains me. That nourishes me. And that's why I run from this conversation.

"Let me tell you about another so-called 'wicked guy'. He had long hair and a lot of wild ideas, and he didn't always do what other people thought was right. And that man's name was.......I forget. But the point is.......I forget that too. You know who I'm talking about, Marge, he used to drive that blue car....."

Benjamin Franklin had many I like;

Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.
--Benjamin Franklin

All wars are follies, very expensive and very mischievous ones.
--Benjamin Franklin

Be civil to all; sociable to many; familiar with few; friend to one; enemy to none.
--Benjamin Franklin

Be slow in choosing a friend, slower in changing.
--Benjamin Franklin

Money never made a man happy yet, nor will it. The more a man has, the more he wants. Instead of filling a vacuum, it makes one.
--Benjamin Franklin
