我們一起放屁! 一二三!

The truth is strictly what the ones in power perceives it to be.

Enjoy any good things, even the little and menial ones, as you will never know what impending distresses could descend upon you in a moment.

Cantonese is incredibly difficult to learn with little payoff lol. It's a narrow group of people you can speak it with, and every Cantonese speaker is at least bilingual with another language that's easier to use.

I'd focus on the Mandarin!

Mandarin is indeed the more useful to learn because it's more universal. Cantonese isn't, just certain geographic areas have large social enclaves and communities that speaks them. It gives the false sense that Cantonese is more common than they really are.

The truth is strictly what the ones in power perceives it to be.

The only Cantonese I know is jo sun and nai ho ma - my first gf was from Hong Kong about a thousand years ago.

I started Mandarin at Uni but only did it for a few weeks - I was working back then and too busy to keep it up.

For some reason I remember wo she lao tze - spelling's probably a bit weird.

that's what i was saying.. i write and hear it as it is said, not translated into an English pronunciation "tso san"
Ya in cantonese it's either nei or lei as far as i know. "lei ho" is a greeting as well as "ni hao" in Mandarin
wow you know more Mandarin than me, i don't even know everything that you said. I just know when you said 'wo se'. Also in Mandarin, i don't know why but we can say 'she' or 'se'. I say 'se'

Mandarin
wo yow he dong shi
