Trembling and Shaking

Hey all. Like everyone here I have SA. I also shake when I make eye contact with others... or when someone asks a question I don’t know. My neck tenses up, and my head shakes from side to side. It only lasts for a second or two, but it feels so uncomfortable. And then I feel insecure and embarrassed.

The best way to describe it is like when you have a cold chill and and your body has a quick shiver...except it’s in my head/neck when I’m anxious. It makes it SO hard to function. It’s like a mini seizure or something. Benzo’s definitely help me.

I wonder if anyone else has this issue, and if they overcame it somehow.

yeah I get tense neck when under pressure talking to ppl etc. when I had to give a speech in class some a-hole joked that it looked like I **** myself etc I guess due to the shaking thing. I stay away from those situations these days lol. I guess I'd be a bit better now, I feel more self confident. but yeah the whole thing is pretty traumatizing.

A beta-blocker such as propranolol would help with physical symptoms of anxiety like you mention. Worth a try, if you haven't already.
