Lyrica?

I'm curious if anybody has tried or had success with the GABA analogue, Lyrica (pregabalin). It's approved for Generalized anxiety disorder in the EU, and supposedly the potential for dependency of Lyrica is significantly less than the potential with benzodiazepines.

Every time I've taken Lyrica it relaxed me for a few days, followed by rapid tolerance to the "good" effects and only its depressing, mood-stabilising action seeming to remain. That's just me though; it could be a godsend for you. My GAD probably wasn't bad enough to notice the full benefits.

I don't think it is licensed anywhere in the world for social phobia, but this randomized, double-blind, multicenter, controlled clinical trial shows that 600mg pregabalin (Lyrica) / day seem to be an effective and well-tolerated treatment for social anxiety disorder:

thanks

Cheers Medline, ......looking for print outs as this looks quite promising. If the Nardil doesn't work as well as I would have liked, ....then this could be an option.

As well as clonazepam and propranolol prn.

Anyone notice any prosocial effects from pregabalin? I heard doses between 500-900mg can deliver them.
