laughing gas

Other day when i was getting my wisdom teeth removed, I noticed how much the laughing gas calmed me and vanquished my anxiety. Too bad they could put its effects in a pill or something or sell small gas cantisters to anxiety patients.

Re: laughing gas

same here, i loved the laughing gas. i remember before it really put me out, i was lying in the dentist's chair, looking at the ceiling and those posters of disgusting teeth plaque, and just laughing so hard at nothing.

i know there is a way to get the nitrous oxide out of cans of whipped cream... but i don't know how... and frankly i wouldn't really want to be messing with gases and inhalants.

Re: laughing gas

I had laughing gas when I was around 8 years old because I refused to cooperate in the dentist's office. It calmed me down so much. I just zoned out. For my anxiety I try to zone out myself, but it actually makes me more anxious when I come back to reality. I get startled easier.

oh god, those were horrible. it's not that they were painful... just the feeling was so weird, i had to grip the arms of the dentist chair to resist moving around.

LOL we used to do those when I was in high school and college. They last for a good two minutes and then its over. They're also kind of expensive if I remember correctly.

Re: laughing gas

Those desk sprayer cans aren't laughing gas are they? I mean I know that you can inhale it and get a short high like a whip it but I don't think its laughing gas.

I'm pretty sure that that's Oxygen.

It has to be more than just oxygen. If you inhale it'll get you high for a minute but its extremely bad for you. And if you turn them upside down and spray them its some extremely cold liquid. I got a burn on me from it.

My B. From Wikipedia:

"Gas duster (also erroneously referred to as canned air) is a product consisting of liquified difluoroethane, trifluoroethane, or tetrafluoroethane in a spray can."

Re: laughing gas

It's probably the equivalent of huffing(sniffing paint, petrol etc) where there's a lack of oxygen to the brain.
