tell me what you think of this quote?

Always go with the choice that scares you the most because that's the one that's going to help you grow.

I like it! No growth can be had without discomfort (often a lot of it).

But I think a more accurate way to put it is to not make decisions based on fear. Sometimes the right answer actually is the easy one.

Or it'll leave you as a broken husk of a person, with intrusive reccurring memories of trauma. The context always matters when making decisions, and when information is not forthcoming, playing it safe can keep you safe.

I think is just another nice, positive and 'go get them' quote that doesn't make any sense to me.

All of these "go get them" and motivational quotes are just things people want to hear as a self motivator. They're the fortune cookie of quotes. It's good only if it's approached correctly and if it makes logical sense and risk to do so. If not, and jumping head first into it out of blissful impulse, it will often do more harm than good. Unfortunately, the last sentence happens often with people.

The truth is strictly what the ones in power perceives it to be.

Enjoy any good things, even the little and menial ones, as you will never know what impending distresses could descend upon you in a moment.

I don't think that's a good idea. One of the things that scares me the most is public speaking - I've had to do it quite a few times and that approach definitely doesn't always work. It's guaranteed to scare the hell out of you though.

Agree with this, in some situations the right thing might be to take a step back and not go through with it.

In the context its meant, its correct but depending on how you view life or what you want to achieve, it could well be pointless to you....and nothing wrong if it is as its no better or worse than wanting to grow !

Anyway, its one thing saying it, doing it is probably a million miles away for a lot of people, whether you have anxiety or not.

Tell 'em who the **** I am

Going outside your comfort zone. It's often the narrative.

It's basically fight or flight, but everyone can't be fighters, also depends on the size of the monster or if you have any help.

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death
Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow,
A poor player that strut's and fret's his hour upon the stage and is heard no more,
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Okay, I picked the fork in the trail that led through the swarm of wasps and over the cliff because it scared me more than the fork that meandered through the beautiful meadow. Why does growth hurt so much?

A lot of people seriously do believe that suffering is virtue, but I doubt they're honestly happy.

People like Nietzsche maybe haha "to those human beings who are of any concern to me I wish suffering, desolation, sickness, ill-treatment, indignities ".
