Not sure if its bad or not but I haven't been over a bridge or the interstate since having this car. I haven't driven more than 15mins going anywhere. Now working six days a week I don't have much time to venture out.

My back bumper is scuffed and is shifted a little down. I don't remember hitting anything so weird!

I noticed my main air coming from the dash board isn't blowing but since the weather is cooling off I won't worry about that anytime soon. It would a blessing if this car lasts me 2-3yrs .

The hardest part is finding a spot to merge in. But overall its been going ok and I'm saving so much!
I remember before the first war with Iraq back in 1991 gas climbed to $1.75 and everyone was hollering about that. Well it was understandable, because back in the fall of ‘89 it got as low as 70 cents per gallon. I was driving a 1976 Cadillac Coupe Deville that got 12 mpg on the highway.

troll: man, we got a lot of snow

yooper: you closed school for three feet of snow?!?!??!?
troll: you like excessive punctuation, don't you?

I remember 70 cents per gallon. And back then, my car got 40 MPG (which was really good for back then).

So driving has been going ok, haven't ventured out too far though. At least I'm able to get to work and stuff. Car doesn't have any major issues and does well on gas too. Maybe I'll slowing venture out more soon.

I would take it easy. It's not as scary as you think
And highways, ironically are safer since you can cruise in the slow lane and you have more control of your car at a higher speed. Just be sure to check your surroundings, look behind you, etc.

^^ Yeah

Anyone anxious that a cop might pull you over? I'm like if I'm going the speed limit I should be good but you never know.

The first winter is going to be tough If it gets icy where you live. Even if we have a mandatory ice day in driving school here in Norway, it is nowhere near the reality of driving in traffic on slippery roads. Break sooner for intersections and red lights. Steep ups and downs that haven’t been sanded/salted yet are the absolute worse.

Embrace the glorious mess that you are

I'm not sure on advice, you have to be naturally sharp, some drivers are destined to be bad, some good, I've drove probably over a million miles, I wasn't counting & it seems I'm good.

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death
Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow,
A poor player that strut's and fret's his hour upon the stage and is heard no more,
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Driving has been going well, but its all routine and I haven't driven "far" yet. I'm just so grateful to be driving never thought it'd be a reality.
