List Your Accomplishments!

I feel like we are all too hard on ourselves and need to express more compassion and gratitude.

List all of your accomplishments no matter how big or small in this thread.

Let's see what you got!

I will start:

- Graduated from college with my Bachelor's Business Degree
- Have a wonderful loving family and handful of close friends
- Have a beautiful girlfriend
- Have a full-time job
- Have survived 27 years on this planet

I understand my anxiety may not be as bad as some people here, but trust me when I say it can be paralyzing at times...but I have never let it stop me from moving forward.

What are you proud of?

- I have a job.
- I have a car.
- I registered for classes for this upcoming Fall.
- I'm receiving treatment for my mental disorders.

I know that's better than a lot of people.

I got a place in the local swimming club and I joined the triathlon club in school. That's it really, but I'm pretty proud.

I'm tough, I'm ambitious, and I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a *****, okay.

Well then...

Yeah, I haven't killed myself. I guess that's an accomplishment. At 27.

Here's to life, the vice
The great herald of misery

-Been working full time for the past several years, after being very isolated.

-Bought my car/baby. We are madly in love haha.

-Moving out on my own. I still get hesitant to mention it, but I know there are others here that were or are in the same situation. Just took me longer than I would have liked, but I'm glad I waited, because I am in the best shape to do it
I remember thinking then that it would never end, it felt like an eternity, but here I am several years later and I have done just about everything I set out to do to go from nowhere to somewhere. And I did it by my own strength

So I just want to say to anyone reading this that it is possible to go from even the worst, being completely alone with few resources, to being independent and free and able to determine your own life, I still struggle with SA, but it is going to be so much easier to manage with a full, independent life So hang in there, and keep working at it, it won't change over night, but like water drops in a bucket, give it time, and it will be full
