Also you'll have to set up times and such because of the same reason or have certain time zones meet at certain times for the talking.

There are trolls everywhere including real life. But yes, gaiaonline does have some problems with trolls. Funny picture

I might wanna check that out

Say OP, whatever happened to the Will You Take The Challenge group? Isn't that basically the same thing?

Ideas: hmm well personally I really need to cut back the amount of time I spend on SAS and online in general, it's seriously taking a toll on my health.

What's your take on this?

It died. I'm thinking that this thread (which will be seen by most users in the coping with anxiety sub forum) will be different and perhaps more successful. Then maybe I can combine it with the Will You Take The Challenge group.

About using this site? It depends on how this site is used. Its great for receiving advice and venting unhealthy emotions that would make you ill if you kept them inside you. At the same time advice and venting might not be enough - some people respond better to therapy and medication or some other treatment.

One way to overcome social anxiety together is to have social events where if some SAS members live near one another, they can meet and go to the movies, concerts, out to dinner together, the possibilities are endless!!! There was a SAS group that had their own thread and they used to do this and the end result was that new friendships were formed and they also gained a social life. I wish I had people near me to go out and do things with but many people don't want to go out with me because they feel that I am quiet. I have friends who I used to go out and do things with but I moved 8 hours away from them so now when I go to visit them, that is when I go out and do things.

It's too bad that Will You Take the Challenge died. I actually liked that group. Whatever you decide to do, I'm up for it. Might be nice to do something positive for a change.

as long as there are no follow up questions or additional demands.. count me in!

no seriously.. my first thought is that being part of a group trying to overcome being socially awkward would be great. My second thought is how do I back out of this the second the introduction turns into step one?

either way.. sure!
