Being in public, trying to be present, I notice all the little things that bother me. People's smells, someone grazing me as they walk by, meeting someone's gaze, seeing an attractive person, seeing a threatening person... These forms of stimuli produce immediate muscle tension in me, elevated heart beat and disrupts my focus. Each little piece of stimuli accumulate in me as ever-increasing muscular tension and psychological pain (which, as a bonus, impedes my breathing and hearing, and I'm pretty sure it's what's making my eye twitch from time to time)
I feel like my whole life revolves around trying to relieve this tension. It's awful.
Also do you think doctors care enough to prescribe muscle relaxants? If course not.
