I overcame my intense anxiety and panic attacks, and now I want to help you too

It makes me so depressed seeing everyone here be so miserable because of this horrible condition. I used to be in a similar place as you. Every day was a goddamn nightmare, and it took me so many sleepless nights, panic attacks, tears, and pain to figure out how to overcome my anxiety.

Nowadays I feel so free and comfortable inside my body that it's like I am a totally different person, and I do it all without medication. I want to help you get to this point too and end your suffering

So, I’m currently trying to find out how one could make the lives of professionals with anxiety a lot easier.

Which is why I have two very simple questions:

1. As a professional struggling with anxiety, what are the 2 biggest issues you’re dealing with?

2. Regarding overcoming anxiety, what would you wish for more than anything else?

Thanks so much in advance - looking forward to reading your answers and helping everyone out that I can!

I would say the 2 biggest issues I have is being socially awkward and being very insecure. What I wish for more than anything is being able to go out without any worry of embarrassment or rejection and it's preventing me from socialising. I wish be confident and meet new people and not have any worries, nobody in my family is like this, I did suffer from panic attacks but I overcame them.

I would say that I'm worried that people will think I'm weird or a creep, which is why I think I tend to be insecure and I'm extremely careful with what I share even when I'm talking to close friends or family and try my hardest to act normal, but sometimes people notice and I get really defensive, I'm also not really good at conversation I tend to be blunt and keep answers as short as possible because I worry that if I talk for to long I'll either say something offensive and the person will hate me or I might say something weird and put someone off talking to me, and that prevents me from going out and enjoying myself, but I have found that when I've had drink the anxiety slowly goes away and I start to get confident and become a better talker but I want to be like that anyway.

My Mood: Pensive
1. (a) reacting comfortably and naturally with a customer, creating pleasant rapport and banter

(b) initiating friendship

2. I would like to be socially competent and feel calm during the majority of interactions with individuals

What is stopping me from achieving these goals?

The fear response is deeply entrenched in the way my mind processes the social world. My body reacts to subconscious triggers even without active negative thoughts.

Some people will always need help. That doesn’t mean they’re not worth helping
