SA since I was a kid, but recovering

Hi,

I have been reading this forum for some time before finally deciding to register. I am 29 y.o. and have SA since I was a kid for a number of reasons which I am not ready to discuss publicly.

My SA was at it worst at the ages of 15-26, it went so far that I could barely stand going outside, or even posting on forums. I am recovering right now and some people even tell me that I am sociable and nice and are being nice to me (which was NEVER the case during my whole life... noone ever liked me, but I was unable to talk to anyone anyway).
I still struggle with making close friends, but I am actively trying to get to know different people and go out with them all the time, and I believe that I will eventually get better at socializing, learn to be relaxed, talk about deeper topics and joke around.
My life used to be really horrible when I was a child, a teenager and a young adult, but at this point in my life I am glad that I have never given up. I will hopefully still be able to have a worthy and nice life and leave all the pain and fear behind even if I lost a lot of years to my social anxiety.

I am looking forward to sharing my tips and ideas here and exchange our opinions and experiences. Never give up
