Newbie Here

Hi all, I've had social anxiety for as long as I can remember but it's only been the last 18 months that I've been trying to overcome it and to try stop it controlling my life. The next step for me was to find a forum to join that focuses on social anxiety where more people understand what it's like, took me a few days to decide to sign up on here but I finally done it.

Hi there, welcome to the Forum. I am also a new member of this Forum and a former Social Anxiety sufferer Having the determination not to let something like Social Anxiety to get the better off you has got to be a huge step forward in over-coming it. I wonder how are you progressing?

These are just my thoughts/opinions, I am not a Doctor/Health Professional etc. so please draw your own conclusions.

Definitley is a big step for me, and after losing someone very close to me suddenly & unexpectedly I made a promise to this person that I would do this in there memory. So far I've started to overcome my fear in sending voice notes to people I never would have before, and the next step I'm working towards at the moment is doing phonecalls as that is one of the main things that feels me with dread.

Welcome! I'm sure you'll find the forum helpful.

Members here have helped me out a lot over the years, with advice about medication especially.

I'm doing better these days, but I still like to visit regularly, to see if I can offer anything constructive, or just for a chat.

Best of luck to you
