Went To A Mcdonalds Today

Hordes of people with their elbows out surrounding big screens, no one serving behind the counters, too much sensory overload, I left before I had a breakdown with no food, horrible place.

I wanted to go to the drive thru today to get a chai latte but there are none in my area. Not a fan of McDonald's but they have good chai latte. But yeah sometimes I don't walk into a store or place if it looks really busy, early morning is the best time to go.

It's probably for the best that left before getting any food. Your digestive system with thank you.

It was probably best that you did. Horrible food. You'd be better off just going to a grocery store and grabbing the cheapest meat and fries and buns you can find. It would probably still be miles better quality. Not that it's ever gonna be healthy to eat burgers and fries but you know.

I don't mind their hot-cakes, and I can have a cheeseburger or a sausage and egg McMuffin occasionally. Not something I do often though - I'd prefer to be alive for quite a while longer yet.

One thing that always annoys me when I'm there is just how much waste they must generate. When you have hotcakes they give you so much crap it's incredible - then it's in those big foam covers and in a huge paper bag.

Just the grease alone has regret written all over it.

Jk. But it is true. I don't like a lot of grease or a lot of salt. I'd be minutes away from a heart attack. Wouldn't be a fun way to die.

I have to complain about their buns. Even though I rarely ever eat bread anymore. Their buns are like sponges. It literally tastes and feels like you're eating a dirty sponge.

They must have always been garbage. I remember one of my old girlfriends saying to herself "Eat some cardboard Freida" when we went there. That would have been about 40 years ago.

The only thing I really like about McDonald's are as you said the breakfasts. Sometimes on the weekends I used to run in and get a Big Breakfast. I don't like McMuffins but I do like the sausage biscuits or chicken biscuits a lot. I used to get those sometimes, and sometimes at work people will get them for us and I'll have one.

I try to avoid fast food for the most part, but when I think about it, I've probably eaten at every fast food place that's here more recently than I have been to McD's. Once in a while, I used to get an odd craving for a Big Mac, fries and a big coke, so I'd run through the drive thru and get one. Then I wouldn't want any again for a while.

Underneath the cold November sky, I wait for you... As the pages of my life roll by, I wait for you... I'm so desperate just to see your face, meet me in this broken place...

Be a little brave for a little bit of time.

A dirty sponge might actually taste better, and have a better texture.

McDonald's is gross. I'm nostalgic about their old Ronald McDonald ad campaigns tho.

The world is quiet here.

how much money did they spend on touch screen kiosks that nobody uses, instead of paying employees a living wage?

And I always thought this would be
the land of milk and honey
Oh but I came to find out that it's
all hate and money
And there's a canopy of greed holding me down.

I don't even remember, when I went there as a child I would just get chicken nuggets.

Did you know the shortening they fry those in hardly ever gets changed? OK. It might be better at some stores but all they did at the one I worked at was filter it every now and they to get the floaters out and top it off. I don't think I ever saw a complete change.

I guess they have to meet basic health and safety guidelines over here, but beyond that they probably don't do much.

Their adverts here are weird. They try to make themselves seem like a small business/organic and all that stuff now, it's weird. Also saw an advert for iced latte at the cinema recently (I don't end up watching adverts (commmercials,) otherwise,) from McDonald's which was so dumb I mentioned it in another post actually.
