Honestly, the movie is pretty cheesy. Haven’t finished it yet because it got late, but he’s a pretty terrible actor. Lol

Already seen 50 shades and the sequel. They weren't as bad as I thought they'd be.

Ok everyone check in when you’ve finished the first movie: 50 Shades of Grey.
Next movie: 50 Shades Darker.
Movie after that: 50 Shades Freed.
Any movie requests?

I can't really force myself to watch the 50 shades stuff, but I will join in after the trilogy. Like the idea of a movie club!

There's a ton of movies I haven't seen that I want to see. For some reason I can't think of any right now. I'll check back in after you guys are finished with 50 shades.

I'd like to get involved, I'm a big movie buff and I watch a new film most nights. I particularly enjoy a lot of foreign films.

'Amelie' is a great film and i'd nominate that if people would like to see it? It's easy going and fun. Alternatively, there's another great French film I saw at the cinema called the 'Intouchables'. It stuck in my head which is why I'm suggesting it, it's really worth checking out!

I haven't seen the 50 shades films though. Does that exclude me from joining in? I'm not sure I could handle them to be honest. The trailer was more than enough! I figured they were just kinky chick flicks?

This was my first viewing of 50 Shades of Grey. Cheesy, silly and amusing. Was tamer than I thought compared to other sex topic movies. I did chuckle at the "I ****. Hard" scene. haha.
Now for the sequels

It’s ok if you guys don’t want to watch the trilogy, we will definitely keep this going and everyone can get their turn of picking a movie we all decide on. This is fun. I have to finish up 50 shades tonight currently rocking babies to sleep and then I’ll watch it and on to the next in the series.

Just finished it and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, average at best. Interesting but cheesy, boring characters, not enough human connection feeling. I'm going to need a break if I'm going to watch the sequels.

I watched 50 Shades a while back and thought it was somewhat amusing / entertaining with an attractive cast. The premise just doesn't really reel me in so I'll probably not watch the sequels but I didn't hate it.

I would be up for this provided that the movie was available on the streaming services I subscribe to.
I do tend to have weird taste in movies though.

I'll skip the 50 Shades though...

I don't watch many movies anymore could try doing some on Netflix I guess, but I have absolutely no interest in 50 shades

Would rewatch:

That Day (2003). A father is scheming to have his slightly mental daughter from an earlier marriage killed by allowing a murderous psychopath to be released from the asylum and led to his house. However, the psychopath and the daughter fall for each other.

Haven't seen:

Solaris (1971). A psychologist is sent to a station orbiting a distant planet in order to discover what has caused the crew to go insane.

Otherwise I'm open to whatever. I just didn't want to watch 50 shades because I already have a negative opinion about it, so it would taint my perception.

I have no interest in 50 Shades of Grey either. I don't like romance at all and feel silly as hell watching that stuff.

Give me some sci-fi, action, comedy, and Disney animations and I'll be good to go.

I prefer historical romance movies than something like 50 Shades of Grey. Like my "Valmont" {1989} Now that is my kind of romance movie.

Whoever is and still wants to finish the 50 shades trilogy with me I’m up for that. Since it doesn’t seem like such a great hit with everyone else let’s pick a new movie to start as well! Keep subscribed to this post for updates on which movie we will be watching. Andy1984 has put in a request, if you guys seem interested we could pick one of those or we can decide on which genre and all throw out some movie titles and pick one movie.

Some people are mentioning sci-fi films. I'm up for anything sci-fi. Serial killers are interesting too. Maybe it'd be best to have it be something on Netflix so the most amount of people can watch it.

I watched 50 Shades Darker last night. Thought it was better than the first. A little more vanilla and less bondage lol. Will watch the third movie tonight.
