Virgin olive oil just means that it is the fresh pressed oil not adulterated. Most comes from Italy and Greece

What exactly are you using it for?

I'm ysing grapeseed oil (or something like that) for cooking. I have some jojoba oil I bought for my scalp (which didn't do a damn thing for me).

But I don't know what you mean when you say it's "a scam"?

I used jojoba oil that I massaged into my head and then my dog licks it all off. Very therapeutic.

I don't know. It might just mean they source from various countries. It would be an easy way to do away with having to go to the trouble to list exactly where each bottle came from.

I think the health claims about olive oil and using it as a moisturizer and so forth MIGHT BE somewhat exaggerated. It will probably work OK as a moisturizer if there's absolutely nothing wrong with your skin. If you have a skin disorder that causes dryness or something all moisturizers are just band aids. It might help your skin for a few hours or a day or whatever but it won't fix anything.

On the other hand, olive oil is probably as good as anything from a safety standpoint. At least you know there shouldn't be any nasty chemicals in it.

I wouldn't do that. It won't hurt you but it's probably bad for your dog. I don't think you're supposed to ingest it.

When I use it I only use a few drops which wont hurt you or your pet in such small quantities. It is edible and non-toxic safe for pets too, but non-digestible which probably will be unpleasant if you drink an entire bottle.
