How often to change oil on a car that burns oil?

Pretty sure it's burning oil. That's what the guy at the shop says. I don't see any leaks. But I am not seeing any smoke either. I just put in a quart every 1000 miles or so. If I am adding that much I don't see any need to have it changed at all. Probably just change the oil filter every 6000 miles.

Kneel before me worms. I am God.

Anytime I had this problem, I would always check the oil every day or so to see how much it was burning/using and then I knew how much to add as I needed. But I would still change it every 3,000 miles, unless it's a beater and it's not worth it.

Sky high, with a heartache of stone
You'll never see me cos I'm always alone
