How often do you get hospitalized?

Most people probably don't get hospitalized more than once every few years, so is there anyone who gets hospitalized on a regular basis?

Emergency visits and whatnot?

I've never been hospitalized. I've gone to a hospital, for an abscessed tooth because it hurt like hell, but other than that never in 41 years. I've never even had broken a bone. The last time I went, was for that tooth and it was probably about three years ago.. perhaps more.

As dumb as it sounds, I wish I visited the hospital more often. I say this because I've had quite a few emergency situations that weren't properly addressed. I should have just went to the hospital instead of dealing with them on my own.

I can only blame myself.

I never have to stay, but I usually have to go 1-3 times a year because of problems from breaking my leg in 2009.

I was there today because I dislocated my knee (other leg) on Monday, and I still can't walk properly. I'll have to go back next week so they can do tests on it because it happens to both of them very easily.

Very rarely. Hospitals make me really nervous. Just being in there and knowing people are dying freaks me out.

If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of car payments.

Only twice. When I was a child, a boulder was dropped on my head and last year I had a flu for three weeks.

I have been hospitalized three times. I think that is probably not that big of a number.

Besides when I was an infant only once, last summer. It was a mental hospital though, not sure that counts. I hate hospitals though, so damn restricted.

I've only been in the hospital twice in my life. The first was the day I was born and the second was in my 20's for a minor procedure and I was there for one night.

Only the day I was born. Never been as a patient only as a visitor.

Not to feed into people's already crushing anxiety around others, but yeah, that is how I feel at times as well. I don't even hate people for it though, it is just how we are I guess, I would rather just remain invisible to most people.

That is not how I am, I refuse to be cruel and horrible like everyone else, that is maybe why everyone kicks me to the curb. I wish I could meet just 1 decent person, but I might never will.

I don't think there is any other way to be when you are among others, it is just how it works. Even the most outgoing people who seek kindness eventually find their way over to fighting others.

It is the vicious way in which we think. We may believe we are doing everyone else good, but the very nature of our being seems to contradict that.

If you ever feel hatred in your heart, then you know you are part of it. No matter what justification, you are part of it. There have been very few people who have had the capacity to live with only kindness, and love for everyone.

It is the unfortunate aspect of being human for most of us.

Feeling and actions are different. Someone might feel hatred but if they do an act of kindness then that is different. On several occasions, I have give homeless people 20 dollars even if I didn't have to, it felt right, when I used to have friends, I would go out of my way to help them out, I gave one friend 100 dollars, another friend I gave him tons of money in a matter of months when he was in deep trouble, I even sold my entire movie collection I built up since I was 14 and gave him all the money so he would be ok, I did not expect anything in return except to know he appreciated me and that one day he would help someone else if he was able to. I never want anything in return if I give someone money, I just want to know it would go for the greater good and it means something. I know no one will ever do that for me and I odn't care, I just want to know that maybe one day they might help someone else and appreciate the kindness I did for them and make them think about being nicer to those unfortunate.

How did you break your leg?
