Christmas being pushed really early this year?

Last night I was in a place and there was Christmas music already playing, and a restaurant had already decorated last week and was playing music.

Plus Walmart already had their Christmas trees and decorations out at the beginning of October.

It seems to me like Christmas is being pushed especially early this year. Usually I didn't remember hearing about it advertised or seeing decorations until Thanksgiving or so. But I heard that this is a short year for shopping or something, so I guess they're trying to get everyone into it as early as possible.

Underneath the cold November sky, I wait for you... As the pages of my life roll by, I wait for you... I'm so desperate just to see your face, meet me in this broken place...

Be a little brave for a little bit of time.

It seems like it's getting pushed earlier and earlier every year. It's all about commercialism and consumerism. What else matters in America? Not much.

I am beginning to notice this being talked about every year now. I notice it too myself, all the malls here are all decked out in xmas. One of the malls here even have mall santas around now. Then I realize it was like this the past several many years.

The pop up stores in my nearby mall all opened into xmas decorations and trinket shops this weekend. Looks really nice from the outside to look at though at night when I stroll by. I don't really mind it at all, but I realize then about 1/6 of the year, it is xmas theme mostly everywhere.

Enjoy any good things, even the little and menial ones, as you will never know what impending distresses could descend upon you in a moment.

If I fail to adapt to the fault of others, it is my fault.

Well, B&M isn't what it used to be. Online shopping hit that industry hard. The fact that shopping malls used to be packed with people around the holidays and shopping malls are pretty much just disappearing these days should tell you something. B&M is a struggling industry.

One of the radio stations here started with the Christmas music on November 1. That is ridiculous. I donít like Christmas music at all and hearing it puts me in a bad mood and is a anxiety trigger for me.

I want to light santa on fire.

I agree that is too early. I haven't heard any on the radio, since I don't usually hear it, until after Thanksgiving. Christmas music doesn't bother me that much or I just listen to something else usually. More or less I don't listen to the radio that often anyway.

This is the first Christmas without my dad. I'd rather just fast forward to February. Not really looking forward to being inundated with Christmas stuff everywhere.

Costco has had christmas stuff for months now. I bought some new christmas lights for the living room, some lights for my a/v setup and a $10 rc car

and the dreaded egg nog has arrived also

And I always thought this would be
the land of milk and honey
Oh but I came to find out that it's
all hate and money
And there's a canopy of greed holding me down.

I don't think I've ever had eggnog it's not a big thing here, should make it a quest this Christmas to drink eggnog.

Thanks

I've never liked eggnog, despite having it around when I was growing up. I'm not a fan of drinks that are too milky. I've tried gluhwein a few times. That wasn't bad.

Yeah, they had a Christmas tree at the mall yesterday. I actually really love Christmas time - I love going to the shops and seeing everyone buying their presents. I think it's a bit silly starting this early though.

Glad for it! Thanksgiving is boring! Thanksgiving < Christmas.

She was very beautiful. Kind, but sad.

I actually really love being away during the run up to Christmas - it's fun to see all the people at the malls etc
