I drink lots of water everyday. It's what people are supposed to drink! Seriously, all of these carbonated, sugary drinks is not what nature intended for us to live on! I also enjoy decaf coffee and tea and decaf diet free coke, but only in moderation. It's important to drink lots of water everyday, for a variety of reasons.
When I first quit, I did have withdrawal symptoms for about a week. Headaches, exhaustion, etc. I had been drinking about 6 cups of coffee or 3 or 4 cokes everyday for years. In the South, we grow up on really strong black coffee, so I do know all about caffeine and the effects it has on you. I used to love that first cup in the morning, but I realized that it was mainly for the taste. Now, a good cup of decaf or green tea is just as good.
