Even if our scars donít match thereís no wrong you canít make better if you can figure out a way to change your mind.

And sure thereís things I regret not doing or doing. Those thoughts climb my spine like spiders, and then Iím really the stranger in my own bed,

and that ball of nervous gets pushed into every crack. Thatís whatís holding the bricks together.

This song is about anybody, unless I wrote it specifically about you, in which case it's just for you
People say I don't know what I'm talking about, but I know exactly what I'm talking about, I'm about they can go **** themselves, that's what I'm talking about
Ok, let's do this, 1, 2, 1 2

Shakespeare's bull****, he was a fraud
He stole all his **** from the Greeks, and Francis Bacon.

Slavoj éiěek on the horrors of tulips.

"Who are you to change this world?
Silly boy!
No one needs to hear your words.
Let it go."

My Mood: Dead
If want to listen to some song that means I'm really digging it. Otherwise it's boring. I can't just casually listen to things.

This video has a very 2003 vibe (though it came out in 2006, but close enough.)

It's good live too:

I've never sat down and listened to these. I've always had them on my mental list.

I stumbled on the live version of this recently and then listened to the other to compare, but haven't listened to much of their other music at the moment. Weirdly that was the first song by them I heard, and I found it in a YouTube video compilation of doom metal bands though the song is more alt rocky but I like it.

Some of their other music is more doom/death-doom metal though:

Yeah, I put on their top songs on Spotify and they're pretty much all kind of hard prog rock, their heavier days must have been their earlier albums. I see that Mikael Ňkerfeldt has worked with them a fair bit. The stuff I'm listening to on Spotify definitely feels like the lighter stuff Opeth does.
