Films that you can't watch

So, do any of you have a film that you simply cannot watch, for any reason?

For me it's The Dark Crystal.

For those of you that don't know, it's a Jim Henson film but not exactly a Muppet movie.

The first time I saw it I must have been about three or four years old, far too young for that film. I've looked at some clips on YouTube recently and they fill me with a mixture of disgust and dread, it's horrible.

Rambo 4

There's a bit where some villagers are massacred and they show children being butchered by rebels - just leave the children out of it!!!!

My Mood: Confused
For some reason, I can't stand Tom Cruise or Ben Affleck in movies. They just annoy me.

Lots of Eddie Murphy films are unwatchably BAD. There's nothing worse than an unfunny comedy. But 'horror' films that are nothing but slasher films are not far behind.

That reminds me of another one.

Alien vs Predator - Requiem

I tried watching it once but turned it off at the maternity ward scene. There was no need for that.

That would have been ok - if it had been a better film. It was a bad movie. I actually like AVP I - it was amusing.

Just mentioning the Human Centipede makes my stomach squirm, I don't think I could survive watching it.

Twilight, Notebook, you can see the pattern, anything that little 13 year old girls go crazy over, I might as well drink a gallon of Nyquil to put myself to sleep.

Cannibal Holocaust, I hear it's a horror classic but I refuse to watch any film that uses actual cruelty (real animals were killed) for entertainment. Even though there is a version with those scenes cut out I still don't want to waste my attention on the work of such a disgusting person.

OMG! That had to have inspired the Futurama episode with Seymour.

It means you're sane and reacting from something that was insane.

Usually any films with rape scenes in them. I've been like that since I was a kid. These are the ones on my nope list: A Time to Kill*, The General's Daughter*, Boys Don't Cry, The Mudge Boy, The Accused*, Stir of Echoes, Mysterious Skin, and Descent.

*These started the problem with movies like that.

These too. I despise these types of movies.

50mg Sertraline has made me a decently capable person again. Meds...

Comics I'm reading:
Lazarus 2/2
Nowhere Men 4/4
Jupiter's Legacy 2/2
East of West 4/4
Saga 7/12

Huge Image and Brian K. Vaughan fan. Hmu with recs if you want

I can't stand movies with Keanu Reeves or Ben Affleck in them. They can't act.

I also can't sit through "Love, Actually." That movie blows.

I've never been able to watch Richard Linklater's "Dazed and Confused" the whole way through. Every time I try, I wind up another scar on my wrist.

This way to the City of Pain.

The Stoning of Soraya M., The Road, and Precious all redefined the word 'sad' for me. Never going to re-watch those.
All romantic comedies annoy me.
I also can't sit through Jack Black movies; I know that's going to offend a lot of people, but I don't think he's that funny.

Any movie that has Jack Black, Adam Sandler and/or Kevin James because of the stupidity.

I refuse to watch United 93. I don't need to watch a 2 hour shaky cam of a hijacked flight.

That movie is crap. I had a friend that loved loved loved that movie, so I watched it. What a stinker.
