Daredevil...

Is really good. Really, really good. I've only watched 3 episodes so far, but wow this show is taking it up a notch for the MCU, and I kind of hate the MCU.

The pacing, the character development, the mood. It's all so good. There's nothing over the top, and they make aware that they are in the MCU by referencing to what happened in The Avengers.

At first I couldn't help comparing it to Arrow, but it's so much different.

And that fight scene in the second episode. Better than any fight scene in any of the MCU films. Has 3 times less of a budget than The Winter Solider, but I'd say is better.

Was just introduced to Fisk, and I'm excited to see what D'Onofrio does with the role. I just don't wanna watch them all at one time, so I have something to watch the rest of the week.

I've watched 3 episodes too and although I am liking it, the pacing can be a bit slow but the fight scenes are so well done and the best I've seen on any show.

The Hallway fight scene, just wow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7fYIMEQ1Xw

Is it actually well acted or is it campy like Agents of Shield?

Nothing like Agents Of Shield. Better acting, better action sequences, a great villain, and R-rated violence.

Watched 2 episodes so far. A bit slow, yes, but the atmosphere is awesome.

Matt needs some better punching power, and a weapon. Takes him like 30 punches to take out a random henchman.

OK that was good lol. I never watched The Raid. I liked the Daredevil one a bit more though, I liked how he looked knackered but still kept going, it made him look more vulnerable.

I like Agents of Shield, but Daredevil is more darker and gritter.

3 times less? More like 30.

So i've been meaning to go to bed all night. I saw this thread - and was like, "Daredevil?"
I kind of liked that movie, even if it got a bad rating. But then the world 'Marvel' was brought up, and i don't think i've seriously disliked something marvel related. So then i thought to myself that it'd probably be a good idea to start this series. I'm on episode 5, and i refuse to go to bed until i finish the series today.

It's so gritty. literally bloody as hell - and i never see that in anything superhero-esque. I might be in love. *.*

I think that, in general, daredevil is pretty boring, but I really enjoyed the episodes that I watched.

And doing away with that stupid costume was a good choice.

This is the beginning of Daredevil, so there's no suit yet, the costume will probably come later in the show. I did find it slow at the start, but after watching episode 6 it's picking up a bit and getting interesting.

was wondering about the budget, 55m on a netflix original series seems crazy

i only watched first 3 episodes, but it's good, i loved the film too, though he seems less of a superhero and more of a 'hero', it's weird thinking how easy any of the avengers cast (maybe not blackwidow/hawkeye) could do what he does with no real effort, considering they are in the same universe

if it ever goes on the big screen, they better not replace the cast with big money names, though i doubt they will considering they want to link all the series

Got my facts wrong. I can't find a decent source for the whole budget of the season, but i did hear it was roughly 3 million an episode which would make the whole season 39 million.

55 million isn't too crazy for netflix. The first two seasons of House Of Cards cost 100 million.

I said that without really considering how big Netflix is, or how shows work from profits. Was House of Cards Netflix only? I thought it was on some US network as well which makes more sense to have such a crazy budget.

I'm honestly a little surprised to see it at 39m $ considering I don't know who the actor for Matt Murdock is (though I barely keep up with new movies/tv so won't recognise new/upcoming faces). I wonder how the profits per show actually work on Netflix, is it royalties or something?

PTSD doesn't mean you're going insane.
It means you're sane and reacting from something that was insane.
