My Mood: Twisted
The old classic movie was good. I don't know about this one, though. The Kraken's face reminded me of the cave trolls from The Lord of the Rings movies. Do the artists have such little imagination? My guess is, it will be a boring CGI fest. But i'll watch it anyway, since i liked the book and the old movie.

I think it looks good, although the original movie is probably still better. The kraken does remind me of a revamped godzilla though.

They should have left the original alone in all its cheesy goodness!

When I saw the commercial for the remake, I was reminded of the Cloverfield monster when the Kraken scene popped-up.

Well I really like the old film, but I think this one could be an exciting update. I don't think I will see it in the theater unless someone else is going (too darn expensive!), but I will see it eventually.

As far as using greek mythos being boring, WHAT? There's giant creatures, epic battles and every type of human drama imaginable. It's about as rich source material one can get. Haven't you played God of War??

Mmm cheesy goodness. My thoughts exactly. No need to mess with a good thing with CGI and hype.
