Yeah, he's a hell of a player. The guy averages like 15-20 TDs a year. Pretty amazing.

And since we're posting pics of awesome guys....

A big congrats to Shaun for tying the NFL touchdown record. Hopefully Mike will let him break it next weekend.

fantasy football

I wanted Shaun Alexander but he went before I drafted. However, I did end up with a guy named, uh, ummm...Larry...Larry Johnson??? Yeah, I picked him up in the Seventh Round of my Draft and I have lost only once with him in my lineup (9 of last 10)and now am in the fantasy Super Bowl. Hopefully he will help me to victory.

For you Fantasy Footballers out there...In next year's draft, assuming LJ will be a full-time starter, who would you take--Shaun Alexander or LJ???

That's a tough one. Assuming he's still with Seattle I'd go with SA. I think you're in good shape with either, though.

He broke the single season record with 28 TDs and got the rushing title for the season. A lot of people say that he's overrated because he plays behind a spectacular line and aginst three terrible teams, which are both true, but you have to have skills to put the numbers he has his whole career. He deserves the MVP (although Tiki deserves to be mentioned) and a place as an elite back. No doubt.

Yeah but how do you know Seattle would be good without Alexander? I'm not knocking any of the guys you mentioned, but Alexander had 1800+ yards and 28 TDs on a 13-3 team. That's gotta count for something.

Barber
SPLIT ATT YDS AVG LNG TD REC YDS AVG LNG TD FUM LST
2005 357 1860 5.2 95 9 54 530 9.8 48 2 1 1

Alexander
(Sites don't have his official stats out yet) 370 attempts, 1880 yards, 5.2 avg, 5 fumbles, (15 receptions, 78 yards, 1 TD as of last week)

I think it's a very tough call, and that Alexander will win it out over Barber, Peyton, Palmer, Brady, or anyone else simply because of the massive TD amount.

The only argument I can think about NOT giving it to him is the talent around him, with Hasselbeck being so consistantly good this year compared the Eli being so inconsistant the past few weeks.

Edit: Another person I consider worthy is Larry Johnson, 1300+ yards, only started around 9 games, 20 TD's, I think he'd have made more noise this year had Shaun Alexander not had the huge totals

Just cause I'm a chronic underachiever with no ambition or dedicaton doesn't mean I don't have FEELINGS!!!!!!
