Graduation tomorrow.

Really worried. The huge amount of people, having to walk up to the stage to get my diploma, sitting and having to face all the people, and much more are making me so worried for my high school graduation. Not helping is the fact that we are gonna do this really stupid dance. The idea of dancing itself is already a mess, but in front of all of those people? That and the dance itself is pretty bad and we will 100% **** it up tomorrow? Not helping.

Any way I can help myself calm down? I’m looking forward for tomorrow but I’m also so scared.

You wouldn't be alone in the dancing. No big deal.

Your diploma moment is your time to shine....you walk up like it's a pageant, smile, shake the dude's hand, grab your diploma and sit back down.

That's all there would be to it.....we tend to think there is 5000 cameras pointed at us, but it is not true.

Congratulations on graduating

A dance? Ah.....I say get your diploma then bounce. {Slang for to leave} Its not like they are going to hold your diploma from you if you don't dance right? This may be bad advice but if you don't want to dance then sit this one out. {I'm glad they didn't have us to dance at my graduation. Seriously. I'm not dancing. Someone else can but umm no}

Maybe listen to some music before the ceremony? I don't know if you have a music player and headphones but maybe you could sneak in listening to some music while everything is going on? If you have headphone earplugs just keep on in your ear so you can still hear. This may sound silly but it is just a suggestion.

Also maybe try saying an affirmation. Something like "I can do this." You can say it repeatedly in your mind without stopping. It may help to distract you.

I remember my graduations, scary time. Now I kind of miss those days. The going up to get diploma isn't that bad. It's a bit nerve wracking as you know they're getting up to your name, the "what if I trip or do something stupid I'll remember for the rest of my life?" But you get through it.

After the graduation is where people go see their friends and throw their caps in the air, etc. I bailed on all that and left immediately after it was over.

Underneath the cold November sky, I wait for you... As the pages of my life roll by, I wait for you... I'm so desperate just to see your face, meet me in this broken place...

Be a little brave for a little bit of time.

I graduated 'in absentia', meaning I had my name read out while I hid away at home like a frightened rabbit.

I just am not in the place to go through with these things at the moment. I wouldn't have enjoyed it due to the worry. So I hid away. Anyone who manages to go along and get through these things deserves enormous credit. It ain't something everyone can do, so give yourself a pat on the back.

same here. no point in going if it's not gonna be enjoyable... the ceremony is optional!
