My Mood: Stressed
I was recently put on Quetiapine by my psychiatrist in place of Amisulpride (which concerned me a little bit as Amisulpride was supposed to be the perfect antipsychotic for me as it is prescribed for somatization anxiety, even though I didn't see much of an effect). The first couple of days I could do nothing but sleep (I'm also taking Prazepam for anxiety and Trazodone for depression and insomnia, but they don't make me sleepy throughout the day), it seems to be one of the most common side effects with Quetiapine. I am only on 50 mg at the moment. It has been suggested to me by my psychiatrist as he thinks my anxiety is overridden by a state of anguish and it has a depressive nucleus to it. My therapist seconded this medication as she described it as an "anguish-containter" and normally works very well for a variety of conditions. I am not feeling drowsy on it anymore but it might be my increased tolerance to sedative medications.

Shimmer covers all the mess
Glitter covers darkness»

Seroquel (quetiapine) I heard causes a lot of weight gain for most if not all people and Olazapine is the next one on the list.

i've been on this a while. it's pretty good, I would say so far it's been the best med I have taken, and I have taken a lot! lol. currently on 200mg, no real side effects(!?) it helps my insomnia and I feel a bit more confident when walking around in town. i'm pretty sure the sleep is meds but I can't say for sure the confidence is. I was also recommended it by my psychiatrist.
