Social Phobics Anonymous has some self-help pamphlets that can be downloaded for free from it's website (dealing with Trust, Faith and Spirituality as it relates to Social Anxiety as well as a pamphlet on how to respond constructively to difficult people).
These pamphlets are very helpful and approach the social anxiety problem from some interesting angles (using trust to heal fears, meditation and reflection, codependency healing as a way to heal social fears etc, how to deal with difficult people who can be very fear-triggering etc).
A few books are also recommended there: ("The OCA Book", Rhonda Brittens book "Fearless Living" and also the "Codependents Guide to the 12 Steps" by Melody Beatty).
"The OCA Book" is an adaptation of the 12 steps for helping anxiety disorders it is very adaptable to Social Anxiety problems.
Rhonda Brittens book ("Fearless Living") is a how-to manual for stepping directly out of fear by connecting with your real self in response to anxiety.
"The Codependents Guide to the 12 Steps" deals with a major underlying issue with Social Anxiety-- Codependency. And shows how to heal that problem, which can also help in reducing social fears.
