re: Overcoming Social Anxiety and Shyness by Gillian Butler
I love the book as well. It's the first whole book I have read on SAD which has actually made me feel positive, and not depressed. The tone is supportive and gentle, yet there is a chance to really improve if you work through the exercises etc. I've read the book through without doing the exercises, and now I have started again working through the exercises one by one. The exercises also allow a lot of room for modifications and creativity, which is excellent.
As my first exercise, I wrote down how SA affects me and what I want to change, this gave me inspiration to make a rough plan about which areas to tackle first. All in all, and excellent book, I'd recommend it to all of you.
