Does anyone actually like oatmeal

I find it pretty disgusting; slimy and tasteless. If you add enough sugar and fruit, you might as well eat granola.
Why is it so widely recommended?

Depends on how it's cooked for me. I usually add a spoon of brown sugar along with some soy milk. Texture can be an acquired or niche taste for some.

The truth is strictly what the ones in power perceives it to be.

Enjoy any good things, even the little and menial ones, as you will never know what impending distresses could descend upon you in a moment.

Interesting first post? It's good with banana, raisins and whole milk. Healthy yet like eating dessert.

Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are great. I wouldn't eat oatmeal plain though.

It's okay - depends how you make it. I used to cook it in milk and a fair bit of honey.

Nowadays I actually blend it in a banana smoothy with yoghurt instead of wheatgerm.

Depends on your tastebuds and tastebuds adapt. If you normally eat rich, sweet or salty food, oatmeal can taste plain.

Buying jumbo oats (as opposed to that powdered instant stuff) makes a huge difference in terms of texture. It can be creamy if you cook it with milk, salty if you add salt or sweet if you sweeten it. Added nuts can give it a rougher texture.

I'm a big fan of oatmeal and like it cooked with water and served with fruit & nuts. Yesterday I had it with stewed banana, blueberries & chopped pecan nuts. It's also awesome when baked in the oven, blended in smoothies, as a base for cakes or a topping for crumble.

Yes. Plain or with fruit or peanut butter or crushed walnuts. Steel cut oats are the best if you have the time to cook them or put them in a crockpot overnight.

I think it's delicious and healthy with peanut butter and sweetener (or banana). It's pretty hearty and the carbs are satisfying.

It's okay. Not fabulous or anything. I only have it on work days. Been eating this one the past few months. I love peanut butter. Often on sale for some reason.

I cut up an apple and add a little brown sugar. The heat cooks the apple and it tastes like apple crumble.

I love Society. It is entirely composed now of beautiful idiots and brilliant lunatics. Just what Society should be.

I'm guessing "oatmeal" is what we call porridge and I love it! I prefer large, intact oats though for better texture. I like putting sultanas, honey and milk in it.

I like them with milk and some toppings, I would only eat them at a small amount, really they can feel gross sometimes. I never tried to make savory oatmeal with veggies and all that but people said it's good :/

It's OK. If you can eat it, there's lots of ways you can improve it but probably most of them are not that healthy. I used to love the packets of maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal when I was a kid. I probably ate thousands of them. And now I've got diebeatus.

I like it and have it first meal of the day but just add some flavoured protein powder.

My ex is Scottish, her and all her family use water to mix with instead of milk, and add ****ing salt to it ! sounds gross.
