So I've taken a full 60 mg dose of Parnate all at once and have had no problems. I'm wondering though what dose can you take without having to worry about a hypertensive crisis? Just something to do on occasion when I need that boost with that content relaxed feeling that really doesn't last that long after dosing..
Back in 2014 I was on a prescribed dose of 120 mg of Parnate, and I've tried up to 200 mg (which didn't work any better than 120, perhaps because by 120 mg monamine oxidase has already been driven to zero, such that a larger dose can't push it any lower).
I divided it into 4 doses, as taking the full amount all at once always raised BP. Nothing even close to a hypertensive crisis, but why raise BP at all if you can avoid it? Divided into 4 doses per day it then had no detectable impact on BP (even at 200 mg -- which would be 50 mg x 4).
Is multiple smaller doses better than one or two larger doses? I usually would just dose twice in the morning and then in the afternoon. Would dosing three times be more beneficial and help the drug be more effective?
